EcoSchools Coordinator: Mrs C Falconer/Miss S Park

The EcoSchools programme is an international initiative designed to encourage whole school action for the environment.

Portobello High School has been an eco-school for almost 5 years. We are the first secondary in Scotland to be awarded 3 Green Flags with our first being awarded in 2002, second in December 2004 and third in May 2007.

We are now working towards our 4th and final Green Flag assessment which looks at:

• Biodiversity
• Waste Minimisation
